Kirk Goertzen serves as an Associate Financial Represenative for Darrin Brumbuagh in the York, Nebraska office.  He is FINRA registered with his Series 6 and Series 63 for investments and securities, as well as being licensed in the state of Nebraska for life, health and variable products.  Kirk's role in the York office entails processing applications and investments, case preparation for new and existing clients and customer service.

Kirk is a 1975 graduate of York High School and worked in the banking industry for 28 years specializing in mortgage lending.  Kirk has been in the financial services profession for seven years and with Northwestern Mutual for four years.

Kirk and his wife, Sharon, live in Hampton, NE, and have three grown children and five grandchildren.  Kirk and Sharon enjoy camping and spending time with their family.  They are very involved in their church, serving in many capacities.  Kirk also serves as the chairman of the Hampton village board.

Kirk enjoys working with the clients in the area who seek an long-term relationship with Northwestern Mutual due to its 150-year-plus reputation and financial strength.

Therese Swanson serves as a registered associate financial representative for Darrin Brumbaugh in the York, Nebraska, office.  She is FINRA registered with her Series 7 and Series 66 for investments and securities, as well as being licensed in the state of Nebraska for life, health and variable annuity insurance.  Therese’s role in the York office entails case preparation for client review and prospective client appointments, creating insurance illustrations and personal needs assessments, and various other office duties and management.

Therese worked in various positions within the newspaper industry for about a dozen years, served as director for the Lexington United Way for about five years, and joined the investment and insurance profession in 2004.  She was affiliated with an investment firm in North Platte, Nebraska, before moving with her husband to Ames, Iowa.  While living in Ames, she worked with the Northwestern Mutual office in Des Moines, then worked at State Farm for a short time before finally landing in the Northwestern Mutual office in Ames.  Therese feels fortunate to have been able to continue to work for Northwestern Mutual since recently moving with her husband back to Nebraska.     

Therese and her husband, Don, moved to York in December, 2009.  They have a blended family of six grown children and spend much of their spare time traveling for family functions and events.  In the past, Therese and Don have been quite involved in their church and community and look forward to getting involved in York.

Therese really enjoys working for Northwestern Mutual not only because of its financial strength, but also because the people that represent the company are of great integrity and commendable community standing.
